When we first heard of Bumble, we were in awe. It's a dating app that empowers women to message men first because there's no feature that allows the men to message first. The men will see that they matched with the women, but ultimately, it's up to the women to make the first move. This all sounds fine and dandy if we weren't such cowards. Even though it's clear that this dude is into us enough to match with us, we still don't have the courage to make the first move. We know we're being ridiculous, but we can't help it. Sometimes, the people on the other end are hella intimidating. At least we have a screen to hide behind. If this is how we're reacting to sending the first message, we can only imagine how we'll behave on the first date.
